Welcome to Hacienda Leito--a classic old Hacienda offering plenty of modern touches and comforts. There's a beautiful central fountain near the entrance to the main building, at the end of the centuries-old stone driveway.
The main building, which houses the restaurant and lounge area, is filled with antiques and colonial-era artwork.
Many of the rooms are either brand new or recently remodeled.
All have fireplaces, polished wood floors, exposed beams on the ceilings and walls, and separate tubs and showers.
Each suite, in addition to being bigger than a standard room, comes with a balcony that has a view of Volcáno Tungurahua, as well as a large bathroom and private Jacuzzi.
Romance abounds here, because there are candle-lit dinners every night. There is a new sumptuous spa, which has a large indoor swimming pool under a broad, high roof with many skylights and expansive lounge areas.
There are several massage and treatment rooms, as well as a natural hot-spring fed Jacuzzi, a sauna, and a steam room. A small museum contains pre-Columbian artifacts and archaeological finds. Horseback riding is also available here.
